About

Between code and camera.

I'm a Senior Software Engineer based in Mexico City. For more than a decade I've built web, desktop and mobile products, and lately I've focused on fintech: currency exchange, SPEI transfers, debit cards and identity verification.

I've led and coached teams as Tech Lead and Team Coach. I care that code stays maintainable, that reviews add value and that every release reaches production without surprises.

When I'm not coding, I'm behind a camera. Photography taught me patience, how to frame what matters and how to cut what doesn't, and I apply the same thinking to software.

    Senior Mobile Engineer

    • Built the end-to-end currency exchange (buy/sell) flow with multi-currency wallet sync and quote-rate updates under time-critical windows.
    • Created an exchange-rate threshold control with an interactive selector and estimated-execution-time indicators that prevent input errors before confirmation.
    • Developed the interbank deposits and withdrawals module (SPEI) with reactive state management and server-synced pagination.
    • Built debit card onboarding and lifecycle on Galileo Financial, with real-time pause, resume and cancel controls.
    • Integrated the Truora SDK for KYC, auto-filling address, tax ID and dates from scanned IDs and streamlining contract signing.

    • Developed the SPEI deposits and withdrawals module, driving a 70% increase in investment deposits in Mexico.
    • Integrated Smartlook, Customer.io and Adjust, giving business teams attribution and behavior data to improve retention.
    • Led core features: debit card onboarding with an external issuer, Stock Lending dashboards, transaction views and Google/Apple sign-in.
    • Built the corporate website from scratch: SEO-first, trilingual (ES/EN/PT) on a CMS, with a WebSocket-powered AI chat.
    • Maintained the mobile and web CI/CD pipelines, including automatic app signing, keeping releases fast and reliable.
